If you have researched trainers you will see that the current average is around $150.  I charge less than that.  Like you I have also seen the ones that advertise for $80.  I am very comfortable with the modest fee that I charge due to what I offer my students and my level of expertise.

Adults learn better with visual aids like videos and PowerPoint's to reinforce lecture points, retention is over 50% better than without.  My entire classroom presentation is a multi media assisted presentation.  I don't teach out behind the barn.  My classrooms are professionally run and I use quality range locations.  I give you commercial grade bound manuals of the laws and not some thrown together pages.

To enhance my students educational opportunity I have invested thousands of dollars in a professional setup consisting of a Digital Projector, Laptop for PowerPoint's, Classroom Speaker System, DVD player and Training Videos, Large Projection Screen, Wireless PA system so that everyone in the class can hear the lecture with ease, Full range of quality safety gear,  Great selection of top brand Firearms for students to use, display items, and many more items to make your class experience as rewarding and informative as possible.

I offer a full money back guarantee and to date have a 100% graduation rate.  I don't have this graduation rate because I cut corners, I have it because I take the time to see that everyone has the state required skill sets.  I have three instructors for larger classes for safety.  For those that have little or no gun handling experience I have one-on-one instructor to student ratio's.   The sheriffs in over 50  Missouri counties from the KC/St. Joseph area to Springfield and the Ozarks region will accept my training credentials as meeting the state standards.  To date I have not been declined by a sheriff I have applied to teach his residents. I am approved by the Kansas Attorney General to teach all Kansas residents.

Many don't have guns when they take these classes.  I offer  gun use for these and only charge a modest fee.  I use top of the line Semi-Auto's and Revolvers and not some unsafe surplus crap for my students use if they don't have their own guns.

Did you know that in order to teach a Kansas or Missouri CCW/CCH class the instructor only needs about a weekend worth of training!  There are instructor trainers out there that can qualify a person to teach these classes in one long weekend.  That person in turn is teaching you within a few days of getting his credentials in the mail.  Don't get me wrong the instructor classes are good  for what they are intended to teach you, but do they fully prepare you to teach people to use Deadly Force to protect themselves and then survive the legal onslaught afterwards without having these credentials augmented with either Police/Military or other applicable experience.  My credentials far exceed the minimum needed and include the necessary credentials to teach Police Officers and Security Officers as well as armed civilians.  Combined with my experiences I feel that I provide a class at a cost ratio that is fair and competitive.

I have been involved in many potential Deadly Force situations including one I have a bullet wound as a reminder as to why citizens deserve to be able to defend themselves.  I have over 29 years of Police and military training augmented by all the required instructor ratings.  I didn't stop when I had the minimal instructor ratings.  For my own education and the benefit of my students I attend a major training class every year to gain new certifications and keep older ones current.  View my credentials page for my other qualifications. I belong to all the professional firearms organizations and maintain commercial liability insurance which you may examine upon request.

If you ever have the misfortune to be involved in a shooting your instructor and his credentials will be an issue raised.  Don't be embarrassed because you chose the cheapest out there.  I have testified in murder trials that put someone behind bars for life, so I will not embarrass you if called to testify.  This Concealed Carry course is the baseline from which all your training will be judged.  While it is a basic course, without it you will not be allowed to legally carry concealed.  I know the laws and how officers view them.

We are not pricing oil changes here where it is all done the same way and price may matter.  This is as important a decision as buying a quality handgun.  A student called the other day and thinking he was just wanting information on what a concealed carry class consisted of I went into my  standard class overview.  Turns out he had attended two Concealed Carry classes already but did not feel prepared.  I won't say who the other two instructors were but he did not get what he paid for.  I have heard of backup guns but should backup classes be necessary?  Do it right the first time and take my class.  If you are new to firearms at the end of class you will know that you have passed the state required training and can apply for a permit.  BUT you will also know that it is just the first step and you will want more training to handle a broader range of self defense situations.  I do private coaching and can teach you what you will want to know.
